I really like Halloween. I like when people take the time to put together a cool costume. And I really like Halloween parties. Here’s a couple of pictures from two weeks ago:

Around this time last year, Durham Region started up its green bin program. We put kitchen scraps into a green bin, which gets picked up and composted as part of a waste diversion program. I think it’s a good idea, but when we first started it last year, we had a little issue with maggots:

Gas Pump BSOD

I was at an Esso station a while back, and the pump crashed. Actually, it wasn’t the pump itself, but the advertising system they have on top of each pump. When you start pumping gas, the LCD screen activates and you see commercials and public service announcements. I only wish I got out of the car to take a better picture.

Giraffe Legs Bend Funny

I was talking about this with Spencer and Mike last night over a few beers. After some digging around, I found this picture I took at the Toronto Zoo on October 3rd, 2004. It’s pretty weird because it looks like giraffes have an elbow and a knee on their front legs.
